About the training
Ever since its inception, the DBT-funded State Level Biotech Hub, College of Veterinary Science, Khanapara, Guwahati, has been thriving for development of skilled manpower in the niche areas of molecular biology and biotechnology in the North-Eastern Region besides its other activities related to education and research. In December, 2015, the hub was upgraded to an Advanced State Level Biotech Hub by DBT Govt. of India.
As a part of its initiatives, the hub has been regularly organizing training programmes in different areas of molecular biology and biotechnology for teachers, scientists, research scholars and students of the region. We are now happy to announce our next training programme in the area of genomics and proteomics research from 28th November to 7th December, 2018. Genomics and protemics tools are prominent areas of modern biological research which has brought about significant changes. The present training will be a balanced amalgamation of both the theoretical and practical aspects of these two areas with more emphasis on hands-on learning. Experienced researchers from within and outside the host institute will help the participants to develop clear understanding and practical skills on different techniques as listed below.
