About the training

Bioinformatics uses tools from computer science, mathematics, statistics, and engineering to answer questions about biological systems on a large scale. It typically explores information-storing macromolecules such as DNA, RNA, and proteins. It can be used to explore evolutionary relationships, examine the genomes of organisms, learn about human, animal and plant diseases, and look at trends in populations. Now-a-days bioinformatics has become an integral part of biological research. Hence, it is necessary for the researchers in biological science to know the fundamentals of bioinformatics, its application in stimulating and modelling the biological system, complex data analysis, development of personalized medicine, development of new drugs and therapeutic for real life application

The current training programme is designed especially for the biologists so as to acquaint them with fundamentals of bioinformatics and its real life applications to understand and decipher the applications in biological research. The training will not only merely help to develop technical skills but also provide opportunities in future academic and research career and prospects for collaboration.
